How to Speed Up Computer / Laptop Performance

You must have felt annoyed, if the computer you normally use both at work or at home suddenly the performance is very slow (slow). Of course we will feel annoyed, because it will interfere with our work that should be done on time but instead delayed.

Computer performance is slow usually caused by several factors including temporary files, too much computer cache and can also be caused by virus attacks, for this virus most often occurs on computers. Now to anticipate all that you need to optimize your computer.

Optimizing Computer or Laptop Performance, I usually do when I finish reinstalling Windows because after every reinstall all Computer / Laptop settings are default or therefore optimizing computer performance is the key.

Especially in Windows 7 or 8 is not an easy job to optimize the computer because there are indeed many applications that are deliberately made to Optimize or Improve the Performance of a Computer. Apart from applications, we can also speed up computer / laptop performance directly from Windows, or, directly tinkering with the system / settings in Windows and the system.

This time I will show you a number of ways to Optimize Computer / Laptop Performance that I do most often, okay, let's just get started.

1. Turn off the Startup Program
Disabling the Startup program is important, because when we install a program, sometimes the program will automatically 'run itself' shortly after booting even though we don't open it, the example program I mean is Asus Live Update !. For this reason it is important for us to disable it so that it does not automatically run.

This startup can also slow down the Windows boot process, usually due to the large number of applications that are loaded at startup when booting. Therefore, it is highly recommended to reduce the number of applications that are loaded at this startup process.

The method is very easy

Press the Start Menu select All Programs, look for the Startup folder after finding delete all the programs.

Or press Windows + R type msconfig, a new window will appear then select start up, and select the program that will be disabled then ok.

2. Disabling Visual Effects
Visual Effects or Animations that adorn Windows is a program that requires RAM to run it. This is certainly very burdensome for the performance of a computer or laptop, especially if our computer RAM is mediocre, because not only takes up a lot of RAM also makes the processor work harder.

And how to disable it is as follows.

Press the Windows key + Pause Break, together then select Advanced System Settings
